HOW ARE THE RESULTS CALCULATED?
The scoring mechanism is simple and straightforward: each question has five different answers, which correspond to five different levels of emotional intelligence. There are 20 questions, and response values range from 0 to 5, so the maximum final score obtainable in this test is 100.
There are no control systems since this type of assessment is completely dependent on the honesty and sincerity of the user. Emotions represent the most spontaneous and direct aspect of human personality, so the test questions must be equally clear and explicit. In the awareness test, for example, it is possible to pose the questions in such a way that the user does not easily realize their purpose, and this makes them less biased by the need to answer in a “correct” or “right” way.
None of this can be done with the emotional intelligence test, otherwise, we would risk distorting its nature by making it overly schematic, where the emotional side requires, instead, maximum flexibility and freedom of expression. Therefore, try to be honest and put aside both social and family expectations as you answer the questions on this test. Remember that its goal is to analyze your emotional abilities, not to measure your degree of adaptability to societal expectations.
